The Role of ISO 19443 in the Nuclear Supply Chain

ON-DEMAND WEBINAR

ISO 19443 is rapidly becoming a cornerstone of UK nuclear supply chain assurance, driven by regulatory expectations and the need for a consistent, risk-based approach to quality management across nuclear projects. But what does ISO 19443 really mean in practice, and what do Tier 1 nuclear suppliers expect from organisations operating within the UK nuclear supply chain?

Watch this on-demand webinar where Simon Emeny (LRQA) and Emma Duffy (Framatome), explored Tier 1 perspective on supplier expectations, in alignment with UK regulatory requirements (including ONR), and the application of a graded approach to supply chain assurance, alongside expert insight into ISO 19443 certification pathways and its growing adoption across the UK nuclear industry with real-world examples.

What was covered:

  • Why ISO 19443 is increasingly expected across nuclear supply chains
  • What do Tier 1 organisations expect from suppliers operating in UK nuclear?
  • Expectations for suppliers seeking to work on nuclear projects
  • How a graded approach to supplier assurance is applied in line with regulatory expectations (including ONR)
  • Key differences between ISO 9001 and ISO 19443 and why they matter
